Sourcing
Almost everything you see with us, we buy ourselves in France. We are also regularly asked whether we take things off people's hands. On this page you can read how both work.
Us in France
Every piece picked out by us
We drive to France a few times a year and pick out our collection on the spot, at brocantes, vide-greniers and small dealers. There is no wholesaler in between. That means almost everything exists only once, and that we often leave more behind than we bring back.
What we look for: the mark on the underside, the condition, whether a set is still complete, and whether a piece fits what we stand for. French, the table and the aperitif.

What we look at
French vintage tableware and glassware, oyster plates and dishes, carafes, lamps and decoration with real craftsmanship. Preferably marked and in good condition.

What we do not do
Damaged or incomplete sets, everyday modern tableware and large job lots without any coherence. Valuations are not part of our work either.

How it works
First send a few clear photos by email, including the underside with the mark, plus roughly what you have in mind for it. We will let you know whether it is a fit.

Email your photos to contact@labizotterie.com. We reply as quickly as we can, usually within a few days. If it suits us, we will make an appointment to come and look.
Please do not turn up at the shop with boxes unannounced. There is no room for that in the market hall during opening hours, and we cannot take a proper look at it then either.

Marktstraat 12, Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on shopping Sundays from noon to 5pm.
