Honest about what you are buying

Vintage condition

Everything we sell has already had a life. You can see that, and it is part of the charm. We describe the condition honestly and photograph the flaws too, so you know exactly what you are bringing home.

The terms we use

  • Ochre yellow Ricard pichet in excellent conditionBest condition

    Excellent

The item is in excellent condition, with very light signs of use. Like this Ricard pichet.

  • Cream coloured Longchamp oyster plates without particular signs of useMost common

    No particular signs of use

Marks that match the age, nature and use of the object. Nothing that stands out once it is on the table.

  • Close up of light scratches in a stainless steel fruit bowlPart of the charm

    Light signs of use

Small scratches, discolouration or spots that you notice if you look for them. In this photo you can see exactly what we mean.

  • Crazing in the turquoise glaze of a Gien oyster plate, with its markNo damage

    Craquelé

The fine web of hairlines in the glaze that comes with old earthenware. Not a crack and not damage, but a sign of age.

  • Mark on the underside of a vintage asparagus plateAlways stated

    Chip or damage

Large scratches, extensive craquelé, chips or other damage are noted separately with the item and shown in a photo. Just like the mark, which is how we back up brand and period.

    Carefully packed

Ceramics and glass go into the box with double protection. We know how fragile old earthenware and thin glass are.

  • 02

    Sent within two working days

Accepted orders go out within two working days at the most, with track and trace. Free to a parcel point in the Netherlands from € 75.

  • 03

    Or simply collect it

Collection in store at the market hall is always possible. For fragile or large orders it is even our preference. By arrangement, of course.

Why our boxes are not always new

We reuse packaging material

We share our location with three other shops. That is why we choose to reuse packaging material between us as much as possible and so limit unnecessary waste. Your parcel therefore does not always look factory fresh, but the contents have been packed with care. We are counting on your understanding.
